I need to know the best and most reliable way to connect my PC to my LCD tv. I have a packard bell PC and a 32″ samsung tv. I have heard using VGA is the answer, is this true?

    The preferred method would be a digital connection. If your PC has DVI on the video card and the TV has either DVI or HDMI, you can connect digitally.
    If your PC has VGA on the video card and your TV has VGA as an input option then that’s your best choice.

    Masking tape, Super glue or big rubber bands.
    That should connect them together well.

    My Samsung HDTV just has a PC input thingy, so you just take the plug out the back of the monitor and into the TV… see if you can do that…
    Also, let me know what the picture is like, I’m thinking of hooking my PC to my TV too.

    well u can’t if your tv doesnt have the input to do it. It should have a connector if it can be used as one.

    The TV should have one or more of several types of video input connectors. The problem is the video card in your pc needs to have one that is compatable and you need a cable to connect the two. The procedure is straight foward. Check your tv owners manual to see what type of connectors you have available, then check to see if you have same on your video card. If not then you will need a newer card.

    if your TV has a VGA or DVI (sometimes called a DVI-D) imput and your PC’s video card has an output for the one you want to use, then yes you can use it as a monitor. and if your TV only has a VGA input and your video card only has DVI outputs, go to a computer shop and buy a DVI to VGA dongle, or if needed a VGA to DVI dongle.
    all video cards have a VGA (analog) connection, and most newer ons have a DVI (digital) connection now.
    if your TV has a DVI imput, then thats the way to go, until video cards start coming with HDMI connections.
