HDTV has 4 hdmi inputs, Theatre system has 1 hdmi output, video output, and 2 optical inputs. I haven’t received my hd cable box but pretty sure it will have a hdmi output and an optical output.

    Connect HDMI from Home system and cable box to TV for video and optical cable from cable box to Home system for audio.
