Mounted a 52″ Sharp LCD tv on this mount. Make sure you hit the middle of the studs and it will hold your TV fine. I did a pull up on the mount before putting the tv on it and I weigh 150 lbs. Very good mount, especially for the price.

Beware….I ordered this mount and recieved one from [...]. It does appear to be the same mount and the selling company did refund $[...] because I pointed out that I could get it cheeper directly from Monotone and it was not what they advertised. Mounting the unit on the wall was fairly easy. It would be best to have two people, but I managed on my own with little difficulty. I do have a background in construction and mechanics wich helps but is not necessary if you take the time to plan and tink it out. The hardware seems to be of decent quality and holds my Samsung LN46B650 just fine (it weighs about 47 lbs.). One thing I would recomend is to lubricate the tilt pivot points with a little white lithium grease or some other light weight grease. It had quite a few slotted holes to accomodate different wall stud spacing. I live in a very old place that has 12″ on center studs in the interior walls and was able to mount it with little trouble. By a decent stud finder to make life easier.

Purchased this item to wall mount my 58″ plasma TV weighing in at 135 pounds. Only one problem; there was a stud in the exact center of my chosen location and the others were 16 inches away, but the mounting plate is only 19 inches wide and I would not mount that TV on two points. My solution was to buy two 36 inch lengths of 1/8 inch perforated angle, same type used to mount garage door openers, and weld that to the top and bottom of the wall plate. After dis-assembling the mount, prepping and painting the plate flat black, and assembling the mount (not the easiest job), I was able to attach to the wall at six points instead of two. After overcoming the fear of trusting a 135 pound TV to a sturdy looking but untested wall mount, we were able to step back and admire our work. The modifications are hidden by the TV and the mount operates perfectly. It’s an excellent product, which should have a wider back plate, and I reccommend it highly.

Sturdy, and all the hardware is provided in order to install. The built in level is handy when installing and the bracket is strong. When installing, you should be ready to have a second person to help support the unit.
